ABOUT PINK MOON BEACH HUT
Our beautiful beach hut is a home from home, allowing you to have a restful day at an award winning beach.

With it's own private deck to the side and the rear, and on the third row, Pink Moon Beach Hut can offer you a quiet and secluded day with great views of the Essex coastline.
​
Stylishly decorated in beautiful blues, Pink Moon Beach Hut has lots of original art and old family photos for you to enjoy.
​
Lots of beach games, buckets and spades, sun umbrella, wind breaker and directors chairs, you will be able to keep little ones entertained.
​
Help yourself to hot drinks, using our little stove and end the day making bacon butties on the beach.
​
We love our furry friends, so well behaved pooches are welcome in the hut and on the nearby beaches. You are welcome to enjoy an early start at 8 am, checking out at 6pm.

WHAT CAN I FIND AT THE HUT?
You will find tea, coffee and sugar in the hut and some salt for your chips. We have a gas stove, kettle, frying pan, cafetiere (please bring your own ground coffee), crockery, wine glasses, water glasses and plates.  There are a few toys, football, cricket bat, kite, 2 body boards and the all essential bucket and spade.
WHERE CAN I FIND PINK MOON?
With the Pier on your left, walk towards Frinton and you’ll find Pink Moon (101C) located on the third row, half way between the pier and the Frinton-on-sea corner. There are steps up to the third row (approximately 20) or you can walk down the slope from Southview Drive (CO14 8EP). There are a few steps along the path to the hut and three up to the beach hut.
WHO IS THE BEACH HUT SUITABLE FOR?
Great for those who like to be a bit further removed from the busy pier and busier sections of the beach and promenade. Maximum of 8 people, in and out of the hut, including babies and children. Perfect for couples, individuals seeking time out, or families with older children. If you don’t mind keeping a closer eye on young children (feel free to move chairs on the beach if you prefer) then you would be very welcome.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Yes please! (This is Meg) Dogs are more than welcome during peak seasons but please let me know if you plan on bringing more than one. The beach directly in front of Pink Moon is dog friendly all year round. You have a good few miles of beach all year to explore and let them off lead. As with all outdoor spots – do please remember to clean-up (and if you forget your ‘poo-bags’ you’ll find a few spare bags in the beach hut). If you go on a long walk towards the Naze, check the signs before you let your dog off the lead; they do have restrictions going that way.
WHERE ARE THE NEAREST FACILITIES TO PINK MOON BEACH HUT?
A water tap is just along the path to the right (as you look at the beach) and down the first steps – making it all that bit easier to fill up the kettle. I have a water holder to make the journey less frequent for you. During the winter months (Dec - March), the taps are removed by the Council so I will leave bottled water for you. There are also toilets approximately 50 m away (larger tiled roof building to the right as you look at the sea). During the winter, use the ones nearer the Pier. This is approximately a 7 min walk from Pink Moon.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
You may find free parking on the residential streets nearby (I aim for Southview Drive area – CO14 8EP and walk down the slope to Pink Moon. Or try Woodberry Way). However, there is a large public car park near the station and pier (Church Road, CO14 8DE). Please do be courteous and note the restrictions that may be in place if parking on a residential street.
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Please do not leave any food in the hut. We do not want to encourage any long-tailed, furry friends. Please note, we have 5 directors chairs, and three fold up chairs in the hut. This is a comfortable number for in and out the hut (space to move if it happens to rain). Please can you make sure all of these are in place before you leave. You can take these chairs onto the beach. Please note, no big parties or groups above 8 as the licensing of the huts restricts this. Please leave the hut the way you wish to find it to help make it nice for the next guests. For peace of mind, our cleaner is Covid-19 and infectious disease certified and will clean the hut thoroughly after every visit.

We can provide a picnic and cake service as well as decorations all ready for you in Pink Moon for special celebrations or birthdays.

WHAT IF I BREAK SOMETHING?
Please don't worry if you break anything. I am a relaxed host who wants you to have the best day you can with those you care about. I also have three children and two dogs, and have always appreciated when I am greeted with understanding. I would ask that you let me know if breakages happen so that I can sort out replacements for following guests.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
Please note that we do not offer refunds for bad weather… and sadly we cannot guarantee the sun all year round. But I have gone to the beach hut in all weathers with my children who were babies when we first came here. That is the beauty of a well-equipped beach hut. However, we know that things happen sometimes, and cancellations are necessary.
If you need to cancel, please let us know immediately and will endeavour to re-let the beach hut. We need at least 14 days’ notice for a cancellation, where a £10 admin fee will be retained, and the balance of the original fee will be refunded. With less than 14 days’ notice, your booking is non-refundable and we are unable to transfer your booking to another date within the peak season of July & August. However if an off-peak date is available, you may choose to transfer your booking where a £10 admin fee is chargeable.
